We had to get up early (and had a horrible breakfast) and rushed to the centre to visit the Monument, which was quite boring, but from the top we had a nice view over the city although it was cloudy and cold. Then we went to see the GLOBE THEATRE, which is an exact replica of the original theatre at Shakespeare's time and where "Shakespeare in Love" was filmed. The stage itself was cool + beatifully done, but the museum was rather boring.
We lost Michael on the way to Tower Bridge and while Mrs. Putz searched high and low for him, we sat down and had lunch. Then we called him on his mobile and told him where we were.
We took the bus to Portobello Street Market and went shopping, but it was raining so heavily that we soon decided to go back to our hotel. In the evening we went to the Palace Theatre to see GREASE - The Musical; it was really a great evening (though we missed the first 15 minutes because we went to the wrong Palace Theatre, as there are two Palace Theatres in town). I fell asleep in the tube and I still don't know how I got to bed and who carried me...
THAT WAS OUR 2nd DAY
